Lakeland Farms
Experience has proved that high quality standards in salmon production can only be achieved and maintained by expert husbandry techniques as employed at Lakeland. Large cages and low stocking densities with sub surface feed monitoring:
- Fish can exercise and develop firm flesh
- Health status monitoring constantly backed by regular Marine Scotland (FRS) tests
- Low stress harvesting and rapid post-harvest cooling
- Efficient grading, weighing and packing - contracted to a local ISO 9000 approved specialist
- Superior salmon with firm flesh, good pigmentation and superb appearance
- All sites are approved by Health Certification (Scotland) Ltd. as part of Scottish Quality Salmon
- A full Veterinary Health Plan is in place supervised by the Fish Vet Group.
