What we offer

Quality disease free ova from a mass selection breeding programme which has been running since 1990. Total bio-security with eggs from each individual fish seperately incubated. Total bio-security utilising a fully protected water source. Testing carried out by fully trained and audited personnel. Independent laboratory.

All ova are hand picked and disinfected. Full traceability and health certificates.

Total Bio-security and disinfection throughout. Fish health and welfare undertaken by company veterinarians. Testing carried out by trained, certified staff and results collected by certified, independent laboratory. BKD, VHS, IHN, EHN, OMV, ISA and SRS testing carried out by the Scottish Government, Fisheries Research Services.

Availability

Lakeland has the ability to supply quality eyed ova from December through to February. 

Health Status

All our fish are tested at regular intervals by Scottish Government (Marine Scotland) and CEFAS with individual testing of each fish at time of spawning.
All sites are independently audited by the Fish Vet Group as part of a group Veterinary Health Plan and Health Certification (Scotland) Ltd. as part of Code of Good Practice (SSPO) accreditation.

Sites

With broodstock sites in Argyll, Scotland and Unst in Shetland, Lakeland has two generations of fish with differing maturity rates, and the safety aspects of two totally different geographic locations.

Delivery

Using exceptional water quality from spring and borehole water with ideal temperatures for incubation and early delivery. Lakeland has the experience, capability and disease status to supply eyed ova worldwide.
